I have a 1990 Volvo 760 Turbo. Yesterday, the car started in the morning and an hour later started, but suddenly cut off. After this it will start, but, is not catching. I have it in at an auto repair. They say it is not sparking, but, cannot tell me what the problem is. Can you narrow down what the problem could be?

maybe look in the vicinity of the crank sensor on the top of the bell housing of the transmission. these are notorious for going out. let me know what you figure out. thanks
